- Canoeing

The Club offers formal and informal watersports activities run by a team of youth workers and canoe instructors.

There are well attended, active, and productive open access sessions at weekends, after school, and during the school holidays. It costs £1 per session (or £20 for annual membership) and we provide all the equipment and instruction.

Those attending have to be over 9 years old and must wear bouyancy aids.

The Club is open daily throughout the school holidays when there are canoe classes (up to 'Three Star' level), short trips, games and races.

There is also a programme of special events, trips away to open and moving water, regular day-trips, weekend and week long residential expeditions.

We are a social education facility first and a sports club second. Our aim is to enable and encourage all children and young people to enjoy and participate.

The Club has to be safe, feel safe and accessible for all. To this end we monitor the profile of the users and activities and respond accordingly.

We also offer 'Canoeing for Adults' in our the Adult Canoe project, also vocational training for 16 to 25 year olds. See the 'What's on' page for more information.

Please contact the club for opening times or further details.
